Promotional Changeovers

Promotional Changeovers

On-time promotional changeovers so offers are live the moment they should be.

A promotion that goes live late isn't a promotion — it's a discount you've paid to advertise and failed to deliver. Promotional changeovers are time-critical in a way most retail work isn't, because the deadline is set by marketing, not by convenience.

What a promotional changeover involves

Taking down the outgoing promotion and putting up the new one, to the hour: removing old POS and signage, building the new promotional display or end, updating shelf-edge labels and price points, ensuring promotional stock is actually on the floor and not in the stockroom, and confirming it's all live before the promotion starts.

Why timing is the whole job

Unlike most retail work, a promotional changeover has almost no tolerance. Go live a day early and you're discounting product that didn't need discounting. Go live a day late and you're advertising an offer customers can't find, which damages trust as well as sales. Media spend, email campaigns and app notifications are usually timed to the same date — if the shelf isn't ready, all of that spend lands on a store that can't deliver.

The most common failure isn't the display — it's the stock. A promotional end built beautifully but empty by mid-morning because nobody moved the supporting stock to the floor is a very expensive kind of nearly-right.

Benefits for retailers

  • Offers live on time, every time. The changeover happens to the deadline rather than when someone gets a spare hour.
  • Old promotions actually come down. Expired POS left up is a compliance and legal risk, not just untidiness.
  • Promotional stock on the floor, not in the back. The display is filled and supported, not just built.
  • Same-day confirmation. Photo proof that the promotion is live, sent the day it goes live.

Benefits for brands

  • Your promotional investment actually reaches the shopper. Paying for promotional space that doesn't get executed correctly is one of the most common wasted spends in retail.
  • Independent verification across stores. Confirmation that your POS went up, in the right place, at the right time — from someone other than the retailer.
  • Fast escalation of problems. Missing POS or unavailable stock is flagged same-day, while the promotion still has time to run.

What's included as standard

Every promotional changeover includes removal and disposal of expired POS, build of the new display to the supplied plan, shelf-edge and price point updates, moving supporting stock to the floor, a check that the promotion is fully live and shoppable, photographic evidence, and same-day confirmation.

How we hit the deadline

Promotional work is scheduled to the changeover date, not around it — including overnight where the deadline requires it. Teams are briefed on the specific promotion before arriving so no time is lost interpreting the pack on site. Confirmation photos are sent the same day rather than the next, because a promotion you can't verify has gone live is one you can't rely on.

Who this is for

Retailers running regular promotional cycles across one or more sites. Brands who have paid for promotional space and need confirmation it was delivered. Any operation where promotional deadlines are fixed by marketing activity that's already booked and paid for.
